Back by popular demand, Jim & Kyle will be returning to the Norway Day Festival for their second year. You will find them in the Pub on Saturday afternoon during the festival, playing hit songs by artists such as Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Sublime, and more.

Jim Remy and Kyle Bates are two Bay Area musicians who have played in local clubs for the past 20 years. They joined forces as part of a local band called Snapper in 2000 in which they recorded many songs and played many gigs. After Snapper called it quits, Jim went on to play acoustically, covering popular modern artists and Kyle continued playing with a local bands and teaching guitar at Runzo’s Music World in Dublin. After a few years apart, Kyle joined Jim in his acoustic endeavors to become, what else, Jim and Kyle.

Jim’s ties to the Norwegian culture began when he married his wife, Julie, whose great grandparents moved from Norway to Minnesota. Jim and his wife, along with their three children, continue to learn about and cherish the Norwegian culture.
