The Norway Day Festival, celebrated every year in San Francisco, is the largest and most prestigious festival of its kind in the United States with more than 5,000 visitors! Take a trip to Norway without ever leaving the Bay Area!
This year, enjoy two areas with live entertainment -- the main stage and the festival pub. Norwegian entertainers are coming from Europe to perform, including the group that just won the Norwegian Grammy! Grab yourself some authentic Norwegian food, and stroll through 50+ vendors selling imported products, art, clothing, jewelry, fresh food, and gifts. There are multiple exhibits to learn about modern Norway, including art and innovation, plus live cooking demos! Don't miss the live Norwegian Elkhound agility demos, the health and fitness exhibit, and have fun climbing the three-story tall climbing wall!
The festival is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, with an entire exhibit just for kids, including group singing, dancing, storytelling, arts and crafts, and games. Remember, kids under 12 are free!
This year’s theme, A Window to Norway, features historical accounts and Norway’s evolution in the areas of green technology, architecture, industrial design, overall quality, innovation, and invention.
